Payroll Support Representative – Level I
ADP is hiring a Payroll Support Representative who supports Major Accounts Comprehensive Services Client users on WFN, PayX, ezLM, Portal, HRB, and related applications. The role involves providing guidance and research responses to a wide variety of payroll and tax questions, interfacing with internal ADP service organizations and third‑party vendors, and maintaining a unified client experience.
Responsibilities- Respond to client questions regarding the use of WFN, PayX, ezLM, Portal, and HRB applications.
- Provide application/navigation support and assist with client data maintenance, setup, and configuration changes.
- Assist clients with payroll processing inquiries and issues.
- Use online tools and resources to research and respond to client inquiries on payroll practice and payroll tax matters.
- Collaborate with internal partners (401(k), FSA, Tax, etc.) and third‑party vendors to resolve issues and ensure service quality.
- Escalate client issues to appropriate teams (SSS, Tech Services, Project Services, Connections Team, Carriers, Development) and communicate status and resolution.
- Complete complex projects such as calculation updates, special reports, tax amendments, and company setups.
- Research and adjust PTO, OT, double time, benefit accruals, and related historical data.
- Assist clients with tax changes and follow‑up research.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including occasional extended hours during peak seasons.
- Provide WFN/Auto Pay payroll technology support.
- Support general payroll, HR, and benefit questions.
- Handle payroll processing questions and issues.
- Focus on smaller or less complex clients.
- Complexity assessed by employee count, PR department structure, utilization of payroll functions, and unique workflows.
- Make decisions based on established processes and procedures; refer to manager or senior team members for exceptions.
- Internal
: collaborate with ADP teams for escalations, issue resolution, and partnership with service areas. - External
: serve as the client contact point.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; completion of FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) desired.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience; basic knowledge of payroll tax deposits, filings, principles, and wage and hour laws.
- Application knowledge: Working knowledge of WFN (Portal), PR Module, HR Module, TA Module, wage garnishments, tax registration, Total Tax Plus, ADP Reporting, and GLI.
- Tools: SharePoint, Auto Pay Mainframe, LUMIN, and all internal ADP tools.
- Additional exposure: Comp Benefits, Comp HR, COBRA, FSA, 401(k).
- Preferred skills: High‑level payroll knowledge, accuracy, strong verbal and written communication, analytical problem‑solving, time‑management, customer service, organizational and process/documentation skills, research skills, and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
