Electrical Engineer, Engineer to Order

The Electrical Engineer - Level 1 is responsible for performing basic electrical power, lighting, and/or low voltage system engineering tasks for electrical construction projects, under the direct supervision of an upper level Engineer, Senior Electrical Designer, or Engineering Team Leader as assigned by the Corporate Engineering Manager.

It requires proficiency in PC use and Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/Revit knowledge, electrical terminology and symbols, and knowledge of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC).

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering – Electrical
• Associate Degree in Electrical Technology
• 4 years of progressive electrical engineering experience and NEC knowledge
• Preferred experience with Auto Desk Inventor
• Travel: 5-10%
• Work Schedule:
  
  7 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday

• Prepares and studies technical drawings and electrical specifications to ensure installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Conducts field surveys and studies diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
• Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Performs detailed calculations to compute and establish construction standards and specifications, with direction from an upper-level Engineer.
• Plans layout of electrical construction projects with direction from an upper-level Engineer.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
