Position: Fixed Site Antenna Mast Group (FSAMG) Engineer-UAE

Position Overview

Fixed Site Antenna Mast Group (FSAMG) Engineer – assignment in Abu Dhabi, UAE (short‑term). Responsible for PMCS, repair, and maintenance of communications equipment at eight FSAMG sites, the AOC and AAOC. Provide technical assistance to UAE military personnel and authorized contractors for PATRIOT communications systems, monitor and report on facility equipment, configure and troubleshoot CISCO routers, servers, and network analyzers, and maintain tower‑mounted UHF/VHF equipment, requiring certification as a Communications Tower Worker.

Responsibilities
  • Perform PMCS and organisational maintenance of all communications equipment at eight FSAMG sites, AOC, and AAOC.
  • Provide technical advice, assistance, and demonstrations to UAE military personnel and authorised contractors for testing, maintenance, repair, configuration, and operation of PATRIOT communications equipment.
  • Monitor, report, and configure FSAMG building and tower equipment, UHF/VHF radios, COMSEC, IP routers, servers, and cabling.
  • Configure replacement CISCO Integrated Service Routers and CISCO Call Management Servers, troubleshoot routing and connectivity, and install site‑specific configurations.
  • Operate and troubleshoot multiple network analyzers and conduct network diagnostics using manual and automated means.
  • Coordinate maintenance/repairs with Battalion and CMF personnel and provide communications planning for fixed sites and tactical deployments.
  • Maintain tower‑mounted UHF/VHF equipment, ensuring certification as a Communications Tower Worker.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and/or training in monitoring, operation, testing, fault verification, maintenance, and repair of PATRIOT FSAMG equipment, IT network equipment, UHF/VHF radio hardware, and test equipment.
  • Ability to configure, operate, and restore network components, including routers, switches, and servers.
  • Experience configuring replacement CISCO Integrated Service Routers and CISCO Call Management Servers, troubleshooting routing and connectivity, and installing site‑specific configurations.
  • Proficiency with network analyzers and troubleshooting networks manually and automatically.
  • Ability to produce equipment status reports and analyse network requirements for improvements or modifications.
  • CCNA and Windows Server 2016/2019 certification (or equivalent).
  • Certification as a Communications Tower Worker.
  • U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
  • Experience living and working overseas.
  • Skills in troubleshooting and repair of SINCGARS, MIDS terminals, JTIDS, and similar radios.
  • Experience with ATDL‑1, Link‑11, Link‑16, and PADIL operations.
  • Experience with CPX‑200/300, MLT‑220, and international digital switch multiplexing equipment.
  • Knowledge in repairing secure digital fibre‑optic links and networks.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years of experience, orHigh School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
