YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

As an Estimator III on our Renewables Pre‑Construction team, you will lead full‑cycle estimating for renewable energy projects, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other technical documents to understand requirements and scope.
  • Identify project risks and collaborate with the overall project team to determine mitigation strategies.
  • Identify missing information in owner documents and prepare RFIs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
  • Identify potential value‑engineering opportunities for review with senior estimators, engineering, and project managers.
  • Utilize industry‑standard estimating software and tools to develop detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Research and evaluate vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for project components.
  • Coordinate with other estimating discipline leads to compile a complete estimate package.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and assist in preparing bid proposals.
  • Conduct value‑engineering exercises to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Support the negotiations team by providing required information for negotiation.
  • Provide a detailed review of scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package to the senior estimator for approval.
  • Create accurate proposal letters based on the estimate for review and editing by the project team.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to ensure competitiveness.
  • Support senior estimators and contribute to departmental initiatives to improve estimating processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior estimators, supporting their professional development.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Good knowledge of assigned discipline, construction technology, and estimating techniques.
  • Interpret computerized cost data and systems.
  • Perform arithmetic calculations required for estimating.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawings.
  • Identify and meet customers' needs, expectations, and requirements.
  • Solve practical problems and handle varying variables with limited standardization.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and adapt priorities as needed.
  • Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn from more senior estimators and incorporate feedback.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in renewable energy; experience in Accubid Enterprise is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and project meetings.

Up to 10%

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment: sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions during job site visits.
  • Noise level usually low to medium; can be loud on site.
