LFT, we’re building what doesn’t exist yet — a 5,000 lb capable heavy-lift drone platform designed to redefine logistics, defense, and emergency and humanitarian operations.

We’re looking for a Founding Senior Aerospace Engineer with 10+ years of industry experience who wants to help build something real — a system that bridges the gap between ground transport and air mobility.

This isn’t about joining a company. It’s about helping create one.

You’ll work directly with the founders to shape the early design, architecture, and testing of Drone

LFT’s heavy-lift UAS platform. As a senior technical leader, you’ll help define propulsion systems, airframe architecture, power modeling, and core systems engineering decisions that move us from concept to prototype and beyond.

This is a founding role — your experience will directly influence the technical direction and foundation of the platform from day one.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in El Paso, Texas.

The first 3 to 4 months will be equity-based as we build and prepare for funding. Following a successful raise, the role transitions to full salary, benefits, and continued equity participation.

We’re assembling a small, highly capable team built on ownership, trust, and real innovation.

• 10+ years of aerospace engineering or UAS industry experience
• Background in aerospace, mechanical, or UAS engineering
• Experience with airframe design, propulsion systems, or heavy-lift aircraft platforms
• Experience with hybrid propulsion or power modeling
• Strong systems-level thinking and hands-on engineering capability
• Startup mindset: self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable operating in early-stage environments
• Someone ready to help design, build, and lead — not wait for instructions
