Job Description

The Mortgage Loan Processor II is responsible for reviewing and processing residential mortgage loan applications from initial submission through final approval and closing. This role verifies borrower information, orders and reviews required documentation, clears underwriting conditions, and ensures all loans meet federal, state, and investor guidelines. The processor communicates regularly with borrowers, loan officers, real estate agents, and title companies to ensure files move smoothly through the pipeline.

This position also supports closing and funding activities by preparing accurate documentation and ensuring files are complete, compliant, and ready for transfer to servicing.

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Associates degree in related field or two (2) years of mortgage experience in lieu of education. Preferred - Bachelor s degree related in business or finance.

All FLFCU employees who act as a Processor are required to register with the NMLS or be registered on behalf of FLFCU, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain their registration current in accordance with the SAFE Act and FLFCU Policy. Registration must be attained within thirty (30) days of hire and maintained annually thereafter.

FLFCU Annual Processor Recertification is required.

EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of mortgage processing experience.
