About the Role
Join Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) as an Analyst 2, Financial Planning & Analysis to drive financial excellence and operational effectiveness at our Infection Prevention Manufacturing Plant in El Paso, TX. This on-site role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with Finance and Operations leaders, directly impacting business performance and strategic decision-making. Become a valued contributor in a fast-paced, continuous improvement-driven environment and strengthen your expertise in manufacturing finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities to deliver timely, accurate financial results
- Ensure SAP-based account reconciliations, maintaining financial integrity and compliance
- Execute detailed costing analysis, including standard cost reviews and ongoing maintenance
- Prepare recurring financial reports, identify performance drivers, and champion KPI-focused initiatives
- Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts, integrating key operational and cost data
- Monitor variance analyses, track weekly and monthly performance against projections and budgets
- Contribute to internal/external SOX audit processes and ensure compliance with US GAAP and BD policies
- Drive financial improvement projects: business case preparation, inventory/spending analysis, new product evaluations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to foster informed, data-driven decision-making
- Perform additional finance-related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 2 years' progressive accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing operations, product costing, variance analysis, inventory control, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUPs)
- ERP proficiency, with strong preference for SAP experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective management interaction
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and thrives in a dynamic, matrixed environment
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Experience supporting SOX audit compliance
- Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement initiatives
