What you'll do:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our team within a manufacturing environment. This internship is designed to provide both educational and hands-on experience in key financial functions, including Field Accounting, Operations, and Budget Management. The intern will gain practical exposure by applying academic knowledge in a professional setting while supporting real-world financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

* Support budget review and analysis processes

* Assist with monthly "flash" reporting review and variance analysis

* Help track and monitor operational expenses and financial performance

* Assist with field accounting activities, including data collection and reconciliation

* Support preparation of financial reports and presentations

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information

* Perform basic data entry, analysis, and documentation tasks

* Participate in process improvement initiatives within the finance function

Qualifications:

Basic (Required)

Qualifications:

* Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance or Accounting

* Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above (please don't round)

* Relocation is not provided for this role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX site.

* Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.

* Must be available to work at least 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday

* Must be able to commit to a 6-month internship duration

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior internship, co-op, or campus leadership experience in finance, accounting, supply chain, or operations

* Experience with data analysis and reporting (e.g., Pivot Tables, charts, basic Power Query, or similar tools)

* Familiarity with ERP or finance systems (e.g., SAP) and/or accounts payable, budgeting, or inventory finance concepts

Skills:

* Strong analytical and organizational skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic financial concepts

* Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn

* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
