Finance Analyst – Manufacturing (Cost Accounting / Operations Finance)
Location:
El Paso, TX (On-Site, 5 Days/Week)
Pay Rate: $61.46/hr

We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support manufacturing finance operations within a high-volume medical device manufacturing environment. This role is embedded in the Infection Prevention manufacturing site and partners closely with Finance and Operations leadership to support cost performance, financial planning, and operational decision-making.
The Finance Analyst plays a critical role in manufacturing cost accounting, month-end close activities, variance analysis, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal financial policies.
This is a highly analytical, hands‑on role requiring strong financial acumen, advanced Excel capability, SAP experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional manufacturing teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesMonth-End Close & Reporting
- Lead month-end close activities ensuring accurate and timely financial results
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Support preparation of financial reporting packages and operational KPI reporting
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
- Perform detailed manufacturing cost analysis including standard cost development, review, and maintenance
- Analyze order variances, production variances, and cost drivers
- Support inventory valuation and fixed asset accounting activities
Reconciliations & Compliance
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial integrity within SAP
- Support internal and external SOX audit requirements
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and corporate accounting policies
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support annual budget and rolling forecast cycles
- Partner with operations to integrate cost assumptions and production inputs
- Monitor actuals vs. budget and forecast on a monthly and weekly basis
Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Attend cost savings and operational finance meetings
- Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to identify cost optimization opportunities
- Support business case development, inventory analysis, and spending reviews
- Drive continuous improvement through financial insights and process enhancement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Manufacturing finance or cost accounting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of manufacturing variances, cost accounting, and inventory control
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas required)
- SAP experience strongly preferred (ERP experience required)
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset accounting
- Strong understanding of financial reporting systems and processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work across all levels
- Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and self‑driven
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Strong problem‑solving mindset with continuous improvement orientation
- Effective collaboration in a matrixed organization
