Finance Controller
Responsible for overseeing financial operations of manufacturing plants, including analysis, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Responsibilities Financials- Review financial results for the manufacturing plants.
- Prepare Management Information for the plants.
- Generate and publish COGS analytical reports.
- Review and sign off monthly balance sheet reconciliations for plants.
- Review FCCS reporting and sign annual financials.
- Provide financial data for operations.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and monthly outlook processes.
- Prepare all financial reports; oversee treasury and insurance activities.
- Ensure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Implement and oversee internal controls; manage internal and external audits.
- Create weekly flash report templates; organize meetings with all HODs and explain variances.
- Input and complete monthly management letters.
- Report cost savings initiatives and progress for operations monthly.
- Manage CAPEX spending, approvals, and reporting monthly.
- Gather, review, and submit information requested from external auditors and resolve queries.
- Coordinate with internal auditor and resolve queries.
- Coordinate other types of audits.
- Coordinate stock takes and reporting of results.
- Coordinate annual cost rolls and publish results with involved parties.
- Handle warranty and price accruals, excess and obsolete processes, review and results.
- Watch variance capitalization.
- Review federal and state tax, local and Freeport exemption liabilities.
- Responsible for complete guidance and review of manufacturing plants.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 5+ years controller experience.
- 10+ years manufacturing accounting with proven increased responsibility.
- CPA or MBA professional certification preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
