Job Overview

Pro Sidian Seeks an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support the U.S. Army Sustainment Command Hazardous Material Supply Operations (HSMO) Division. The position is a full‑time, exempt W2 role working on‑site at Fort Bliss, TX, with travel across the Southwest region to support Army logistics and hazardous material sustainment operations.

Responsibilities

Serve as an Environmental Compliance Specialist under the Environmental Analyst/​Specialist labor category. Key duties include:

  • Manage hazardous material receipt, storage, tracking, and compliance to maintain Army readiness.
  • Review SDS documentation, conduct inspections, and support waste turn‑in and disposal approvals.
  • Prepare environmental reports, support audits, and implement corrective actions.
  • Process transactions in GCSS‑Army and maintain accountability and safety compliance.
Qualifications

Desired qualifications include 5‑8 years of environmental compliance experience and at least 3 years supporting Army or DoD environmental programs. A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field is required, along with an HAZWOPER certification.

Skills
  • Regulatory interpretation (EPA/OSHA), hazardous waste documentation, inspection readiness, and data tracking.
  • Strong project‑management skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Competencies
  • Strategic leadership, risk management, decision‑making, and communication with senior Army stakeholders.
  • Operational governance and compliance discipline.
