Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business or Public Administration, English, Social/Behavioral Science, or related field.

Texas Class C Driver’s License or equivalent from another state.

Unclassified contract position.

• Research, develop, and implement grant projects under general supervision.
• Gather and analyze data for grant opportunities through internet research, foundation publications, and contacts.
• Write grant proposals in collaboration with non‑profit agencies, governmental entities, and community organizations.
• Provide technical assistance and grant‑writing training to prospective applicants.
• Prepare templates for Requests for Proposals, letters of intent, citizen request forms, and grant applications.
• Review and evaluate applications, determine eligibility, and make recommendations to steering committees.
• Coordinate information across departments and agencies regarding grant status and compliance.
• Track disbursements of grant funds, monitor project progress, enforce contracts, and review construction pay applications and change orders.
• Prepare statistical information and assist in regulatory reporting to federal agencies.
• Conduct community meetings, prepare agendas, and provide staff support.

Minimum education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher as stated above.

Valid Texas driver’s license (Class C or equivalent).

Strong research, grant‑writing, and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to manage multiple public facilities or public services projects concurrently.
