Ultrasound Tech

• Facility University Medical Center of El Paso
• Schedule - Shift - Hours Relief - Rotating - Rotating

Performs wide range of Ultrasound procedures on patients of varying ages, completes all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in Department for procedures. Assists in the development and the monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Diagnostic Imaging Services.

• Ability to use critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ability to use oral and written communication skills effectively.
• Ability to use interpersonal relationship skills.
• Knowledge of tasks within the scope of practice of an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.

One year of work related experience preferred.

ARDMS (American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in SPI (Physics) and ONE of the following certifications: ABD, OB/GYN, VT,  , FE, MSKS required.
(or)
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Sonography (S): VS, BS required.
CPR Certified.

Associate of Applied Sciences in Ultrasound required.
