The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing administrative support and resources required by the organized medical staff, including meeting management, flow of information from medical staff committees/departments through the Medical Executive Committee and the Board of Managers and other medical staff functions/activities. Assists with The Joint Commission survey preparation. Works closely with medical staff leaders, hospital administration and legal counsel.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support and resources required by the organized medical staff, including meeting management and ensuring flow of information from medical staff committees/departments through the Medical Executive Committee and the Board of Managers.
- Assist with Joint Commission survey preparation.
- Collaborate with medical staff leaders, hospital administration and legal counsel.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and a PC or the equivalent, using a word processor in a Windows environment;
- Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing;
- Displays good interpersonal skills; tactful;
- Dedicated and reliable;
- Self-starter; motivated;
- Knowledge of medical terminology;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Detail oriented;
- Ability to work well and get along with others;
- Transcription skills (shorthand or speed writing);
- Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions;

Work Experience:
Two years clerical experience required, preferably in a fast pace Hospital Medical Staff Office or equivalent environment. - B. License/Registration/Certification:
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred. - C. Education and Training:
High School diploma or equivalent.
