Responsible for answering phone calls, greeting walk-in customers, and managing the customer service area. Front desk support will screen referrals, schedule appointments for the appropriate service needed, complete financial eligibility, and complete administrative tasks upon request. Front Desk Support will handle phone calls in a professional and courteous manner and provide great customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Collect, review, and prepare documentation needed to submit daily billing and census when deemed necessary.
- Greets visitors and assists in connecting them to the appropriate staff person.
- Checks TMHP (Medicaid) portal daily to ensure clients continue having coverage.
- Answers telephone calls promptly, accurately, and professionally. Takes and relays messages and connects calls to the appropriate party.
- Completes daily reminder calls for next day appointments.
- Prepares intake packets and files for new clients.
- Prepares files prior to appointments and reviews accountability documentation daily.
- Schedules new screening and intake appointments, and schedules clients for future appointments and group counseling when deemed necessary.
- Assists in prescreening calls prior to scheduling potential clients for screening or intake.
- Assists in completing financial eligibility and administrative intakes when needed.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One or two years of experience in a medical office is preferred.
- Experience with calling Medicaid/Medicare and Private Insurance Companies to verify benefits.
