  • Schedule - Shift - Hours Full Time - Days - 8 am - 5 pm
Job Summary

In coordination with the Director of Quality Management and the Assistant Administrator of Quality Management and Infection Control, supports the District’s accreditation and regulatory compliance for The Joint Commission (TJC) and other regulatory agencies. Works directly and in conjunction with team leaders, Supervisors, Managers, and Directors to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Provides leadership towards achieving compliance, and/or developing suitable alternatives that will meet regulatory requirements aligned with the Hospital’s Mission and Values.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to change readily and function in a professional manner.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to grasp concepts of computers with training and experience.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of TJC standards and the accreditation process.
  • Knowledge of data collection methods.
  • Knowledge of medical record, chart organization, and documentation on forms.
  • Ability to understand clinical criteria and outcome criteria.
  • Ability to proficiently prioritize and handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Work Experience

Three years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Strong experience with accreditation/regulatory activities, performance improvement, core measures and/or sentinel events is required. Strong knowledge of TJC standards and the accreditation process is highly preferred. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is desired.

License/Registration/Certification
  • Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required.
  • Current BLS training is required.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is required within 2 years of being in the position.
Education and Training
  • Bachelor degree in Nursing is required. Master degree is preferred.
