Responsibilities
The Program Manager oversees the provision and delivery of patient care on the unit. This position is responsible for providing direct care to patients and ensures the individual needs of patients served are met. Duties include supervising assigned unit staff, providing training and guidance to therapists and interns in addition to managing the day‑to‑day unit schedule and activities. The Program Manager contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational, and quality improvement efforts while ensuring the unit is in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives.
Qualifications- Master’s Degree specializing in Counseling or Social Work related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred.
- Current LPC, LPC‑A, LMSW, LCSW license issued by the State of Texas.
- Completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment.
- Thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.
