Program Therapist – Position SummaryThe Program Therapist supports patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs by facilitating therapeutic treatment skills and achieving optimal emotional health. Responsibilities include basic consultation, teaching, individual and group therapy, family sessions, crisis intervention, and referral services.
Qualifications- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or a related clinical mental health field from an accredited institution.
- License: Must hold a state license in good standing or be within 90 days of obtaining required licensure, with proof of licensure required within 90 days of employment.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a mental health field, with strong clinical assessment skills, and direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. Preferred experience in psychiatric facilities.
- Additional Requirements: Handle‑with‑Care training, competency assessments, TB test, CPR certification, knowledge of CMS, TJC, TAC, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements. Flexible hours, overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.
- Preferred Licensure: Texas license in Social Work or a related mental health field (e.g., LPC‑Intern, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT).
