Job Title: Director of Cath Lab
Location: El Paso, TX
Salary Range: $108,000 – $160,000 DOE
Relocation: Available based on candidate location and distance
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Services Leader to support executive nursing leadership within a hospital setting in El Paso, TX. This position provides operational and clinical oversight of designated patient care areas and supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in ensuring high‑quality, safe, and efficient care delivery.
This role requires strong cardiovascular clinical expertise combined with proven management and operational leadership experience.
Position SummaryThe Assistant Director/Director provides leadership for nursing and/or cardiovascular services departments, with 24/7 accountability for assigned units. The role assists with assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating patient care services across multiple units.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and operational oversight for cardiovascular and/or nursing units
- Partner with the CNO to implement strategic and operational initiatives
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards
- Oversee staffing models, workforce planning, and budget management
- Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and performance improvement initiatives
- Promote a culture of patient safety and clinical excellence
- Serve as a clinical and professional role model for nursing and cardiovascular staff
- Maintain accountability for regulatory readiness and quality reporting
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology
- Graduate of an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN, BS, or equivalent)
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred for RN candidates
- Minimum 2 years of recent management experience
- Must currently or recently hold an Assistant Director or Director‑level position
- Experience in a hospital‑based cardiovascular or related clinical environment
- Strong hands‑on cardiovascular clinical background
- Proven leadership experience in people management and hospital operations
- Active, unrestricted Texas RN license
- Relocation candidates must obtain Texas licensure prior to start
- Active, current certification and licensure as required by state regulations
- Active, current certification and licensure as required
- AHA BLS certification
- Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered in accordance with state regulations
- Strong cardiovascular clinical expertise
- Demonstrated hospital operational leadership
- Budgeting and resource management experience
- Quality improvement and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Effective communication and interpersonal leadership skills
- Ability to provide 24/7 accountability for assigned departments
