ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring quality assurance and quality control of radiation therapy equipment and treatment plans, including:
- Varian True Beam
- Varian Trilogy
- Varian 21iX
- Elekta Micro Selectron HDR
- CT simulator
- PET/CT
- Varian Eclipse
- Elekta MOSAIQ R&V
- Rad Calc
- SNC SunCHECK
- SNC Mapcheck2
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited institution
- A certification, or completion of a CAMPEP‑approved residency and board eligibility, with clinical experience
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in clinical radiation physics
- Texas Medical Board license required
Must be able to operate treatment‑planning computer controls, stand for 8 hours, lift a 40‑pound block to shoulders, have visual acuity sufficient to distinguish structures and isodose displays, and align treatment fields and monitor patients during radiation therapy.
