Charge Nurse; RN - PCU

Job Summary

The Perioperative Registered Charge Nurse coordinates the delivery of nursing care for the patient in the surgical suite. The RN demonstrates competence in planning care throughout the perioperative process, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with other disciplines to maintain professional nursing standards in the operating room setting using evidence‑based practices.

• Education: Required:
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred:
  Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's).
• Experience: Required: 1 year of RN experience.
• Certification: Required:
  Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice in accordance with state law or policy; AHA BLS.
