AVIR at Lomaland is seeking a compassionate and motivated Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA seeking flexible scheduling while providing quality, patient-centered care in a supportive rehabilitation environment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, coordination, and functional independence.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility, transfers, gait training, and other prescribed interventions.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Document treatments and patient progress accurately and timely.
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and home programs.
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Follow facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Texas.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain as required.
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent patient care.
