Position: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Employment Options: Full-Time & Per Diem
Setting: In-House Subacute Rehabilitation
Avir at Montana is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working with patients in a skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation environment and is committed to helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and established goals.
- Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, and functional independence.
- Provide therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve activities of daily living.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
- Document treatments, patient responses, progress, and other required clinical information accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other healthcare professionals to support patient-centered care.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic activities, safety, and strategies to promote independence.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.
- Current Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to practice as a COTA in Texas.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
