Tech Dietitian

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nutritional care for adult and geriatric patients in a critical care setting on a 13-week contract. Ensure optimal patient outcomes through precise assessment, planning, and intervention aligned with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ nutritional needs through physical exams and medical history review.
• Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust dietary interventions accordingly.
• Document all assessments and interventions accurately within the EMR system.
• Communicate effectively with providers and the multidisciplinary team to facilitate timely nutrition recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, including dress code and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and licensure in Texas.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of clinical dietetics experience, preferably with critical care.
• Have working knowledge of Meditech EMR and modern communication tools.
• Exhibit strong teamwork skills with a collaborative personality.
• Capable of performing nutrition-focused physical exams and supporting wound care initiatives.
• Flexibility to cover shifts and manage patient workload efficiently.
