The Compliance and Regulatory Pharmacist Specialist will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the USP 800, 797, and 795 compliance planning, 340B program maintenance, and any other regulatory and compliance planning. Responsible for the development of standard operating procedures, personnel competency oversight, and conducting facility and environmental testing compliance.
Qualifications MinimumPosition Requirements Work Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in a hospital or compounding pharmacy setting encompassing drug preparation dispensing, sterile product compounding, and inventory control, preferably in hazardous drug preparation, storage, and handling.
- Current Pharmacist Licensure registered in the State of Texas. Preceptor competent within one year of hire, for existing employees within one year of signing job description.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), or within 6 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or within 6 months of hire.
- USP 800 Certification completed with 6-12 months of hire.
- Accreditation ACPE Approved Sterile Compounding Certification or letter from an accredited school of pharmacy confirming Sterile Compounding Certification with a minimum 20 hours of training completed.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- 15 hours of ACPE approved continuing education per year.
- Knowledge and experience with UD, I.V. additives and therapeutics.
- Knowledge of law, regulations, and accreditation standards related pharmacy and hazardous drugs.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients.
