Surgical Technology Laboratory Assistant
Southwest University is seeking a dependable and organized Surgical Technology Laboratory Assistant to support our Surgical Technology Program. This position assists faculty with daily lab operations and helps maintain a clean, safe, and prepared learning environment for students.
Responsibilities- Prepare the lab for classes, skills practice, and simulations.
- Organize and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and restocking supplies.
- Assist with lab setup, cleanup, and room turnover.
- Support students with proper use of lab equipment under faculty direction.
- Assist faculty during lab activities, competencies, and simulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Report equipment issues, supply shortages, or safety concerns.
- Surgical Technology education or related healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work well with students and faculty.
- Ability to lift, move, and organize laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Dependable, professional, and able to follow established procedures.
