Job Description
Assists pharmacist in the distribution of medication for Inpatient and Outpatient use. Responsibilities include inventory control, narcotic record keeping, TPN calculations and chemotherapeutic medication preparation.
Required Skills- 1. Basic computer literacy and keyboarding/data entry skills required.
- 2. Effective oral and written communication skills.
- 3. Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications.
- 4. Advanced Pharmacy Technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.
A.
Work Experience:
Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
B. License/Registration/Certification:Current registration for Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
I.V. Certification completed within 3 months of hire. Annual I.V. Certification
C. Education and Training:High School graduate or equivalent.
Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
