Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation or designee the Rehabilitation Teacher III performs highly complex (senior level) rehabilitation therapy work with patients in a forensic and/or psychiatric setting. The Rehabilitation Teacher III works with a multi-disciplinary team to develop programming in collaboration with patients. The Rehabilitation Teacher III has day-to-day oversight of programming as scheduled. The Rehabilitation Teacher III has no financial responsibility but is accountable for assigned property and inventory maintenance.

Develops, implements, and evaluates psychosocial and psychoeducation sessions. Session evaluations capture data related to patient engagement and desired outcomes to provide to designated supervisor for analysis. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

This position may be eligible to earn additional pay for work performed on evenings, nights and/or weekends.
