Responsibilities
The Program Therapist is an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing direct patient care. Major job functions include:
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Crisis intervention
- Psychosocial assessments
- Treatment planning
- Family sessions
The Program Therapist is an active member of the multidisciplinary treatment team, providing direct patient care.
Qualifications- Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work related field.
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a mental health field with children ages 5-11 preferred. Must have experience providing direct care, family and group therapy, crisis intervention, clinical assessment skills and treatment planning.
- Licensure Requirements: Texas License in Social Work or clinical related mental health field. This includes but is not limited to LPC-Intern, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LCDC.
- Additional Requirements: Handle with Care training within 90 days of employment. Competencies tested within 90 days of hire and annually. Ability to work flexible hours, overtime for hourly staff, some holidays and weekends. TB test and CPR certification prior to working with patients. Knowledge of CMS, TJC, TAC, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
