Hotel Housekeeping
Responsibilities
- Dust, sweeps, mops, scrubs, vacuum, and clean assigned areas; scrubs, waxes and strips floors, as assigned.
- Attends other special projects, as requested.
- Cleans ashtrays, and BCM terminals and/or equipment.
- Transports trash and dirty linens to designated areas.
- Assists in the minor maintenance in public areas, such as: changing light bulbs, etc., and reports problems that need further attention to the Housekeeping Manager; re-stocks paper supplies, chemical supplies in bottles, and maintains washrooms supplies; stocks and maintains housekeeping storage rooms.
- Routinely inspects work areas, identifying potential problems or repair needs, and notifying the Housekeeping Supervisor of maintenance to be scheduled.
- Properly tags lost and found items and delivers them to the Housekeeping Office, for storage.
- Other duties as assigned by Department Manager and/or C.E.O.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or GED preferred; six months Housekeeping experience preferred.
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Must be culturally sensitive to minority population especially Native Americans.
- Must be able to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen and criminal history background check.
While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, finger dexterity, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
