Talent Manager, HR Manager, Employee Relations
To lead and manage the Human Resources department by planning and implementing Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and practices, supporting operational and business goals and objectives. The Human Resources Manager is ultimately responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day HR programs and processes that ensure a productive, positive, and engaged workforce.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position manages all human resources staff.
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage and direct the HR team to ensure effective administration of assigned HR programs and processes.
- Provides strategic advice, counsel, and consultative solutions on people aspects of the business, to include organizational development, team effectiveness, executing change management strategy, employee engagement solutions, and terminations.
- Manages the benefits open enrollment process, ACA compliance, benefits invoice reconciliation, and benefits platform in the HRIS.
- Annually updates the compensation program, conducts salary benchmarking, and updates or writes job descriptions.
- Ensure that all employee relations systems remain effective, compliant, and responsive to the needs of employees and the company.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director to design and deploy Learning and Development programs for the leadership team, supervisors, and individual staff contributors.
- Audits Form I-9’s, E-Verify, and the onboarding process to ensure completion of the employee onboarding and that correct documentation is distributed and acknowledged.
- Manage the FMLA and LOA process to include all communication with the employees and communication to operational leaders.
- Ensures thorough screening of applicants, extends job offers, and conducts new employee orientations.
- Assists with managing building maintenance and safety initiatives.
- Is the primary point of contact for the staffing firm supplying contingent employees and communicating with the staffing firm on all contingent employee-related topics.
- Ensures that the HR team is current on all federal, state, local requirements, regulations, and legislation in relation to HR.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time, regular, exempt position. Typical workdays and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
TravelTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
RequiredEducation and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher
- 6+ years in an HR leadership position
- Expert-level knowledge of HR compliance regulation, principles, and practices
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Working knowledge of HRIS
- Experience in the administration of benefits, recruiting, payroll, training, FMLA administration, safety, and workers’ compensation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources management
