Maintain staffing levels by establishing a recruiting, screening, and hiring program.
Identify and coordinate staff vacancies with Corporate Human Resources (HR).
Coordinate recruiting efforts with Corporate HR, Texas Workforce Commission, and other resources.
Interview or coordinate the interview of applicants.
Perform pre-screening background checks; prepare e-Qip initiation and transfer requests and submit to Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (COTR); oversee and review e-Qip application completion and submit to COTR; track and assist e-Qip applicants throughout suitability determination process.
Oversee applicant completion of all required new hire documentation, fingerprinting, certification, and medical/drug testing.
Assist in ordering uniforms and printing identification badges and credentials.
Oversee employee orientation.
Maintain all documentation and records in compliance with company, customer, and Government regulations.
Coordinate with Corporate HR Benefits Specialist employee enrollments and changes in benefits programs.
Coordinate efforts with the Corporate HR department and provide various personnel information and documents, such as those pertaining to unemployment and worker’s compensation claims.
Maintain employee files, HR forms, and related documentation.
Maintain required Federal/State Dept. of Labor Postings.
Assist Corporate HR in the preparation of annual Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Affirmative Action Program (AAP) reports through provision of employee data.
Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and benefits.
Retain all documents for periods required by Company, contract, and Government policy/regulation. Compile reports and statistics to identify trends and develop improvements to company procedures.
Provide additional HR support as requested by the Transportation Coordinator or Program Manager.
Coordinate and monitor all leave requests.
Process Family Medical and Leave Act (FMLA) and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) military leave requests.
Forward requests for Leave Without Pay (LWOP) to Corporate HR for review and approval.
Coordinate with Corporate Benefits Specialist on all Workman’s Compensation unpaid leave.
Job RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or
Experience:
Must be a United States Citizen
B.A. or B.S. in HR Management; or
5-7 years of demonstrated experience:
Regarding all aspects of human resources responsibilities.
Providing strong, results-oriented leadership developing and managing excellent relationships within the company and with customers.
Working independently and managing a complex HR operation with minimal supervision.
Maintaining confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive information and personnel matters.
Demonstrating interpersonal skills in dealing with management, employees, and job seekers.
Managing HR operations for a company with 150+ employees.
Computer skills including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Payroll:Receive all employee Time Sheets each Monday, review for correctness, have employees correct Time Sheets with errors, and forward all Time Sheets to Corporate Accounting and Finance, Payroll Clerk no later than close of business each Monday.
Travel:Travel to various locations within Texas to provide Human Resources oversight, conduct employee seminars, conduct job fairs, etc.
Other Collateral Duties:Perform other duties as directed by the Program Manager or Transportation Coordinator.
