Data Integration Programmer-Correctional Health Strategy
Serves as an organizational expert in delivering all system data from its sources to the end users who require it utilizing appropriate available technologies and methods. Manages all aspects of delivering data to end users, including gaining the most direct access available to source systems, creating ETL processes to move data from source systems to data repositories, creating database objects to efficiently deliver data, and creating user-facing applications to deliver required information.
Creates reusable code sets and utilities to standardize automation and produce maximum efficiency in logic, processing and development. Evaluates historical requests and delivers solutions to create new tools and enhance existing tools to improve accuracy and efficiency in providing solutions. Maintains updated documentation for all solutions. Serves as a project manager to coordinate with departments and other entities in consolidated efforts to develop custom solutions with responsibility for setting schedules and evaluating project progress.
Experience
One year of experience preferred in producing and managing automated data-driven solutions, preferably utilizing a broad spectrum of data. Experience managing and applying requirements and standards within all stages of application/solution development to ensure the highest quality data and results from its use. Experience creating reusable programming, data processing, automation and application development tools to establish ultimate efficiency, consistency and developmental improvements in continually progressive development.
License/Registration/CertificationNone
Education and TrainingBachelor's degree in Computer Science required.
Skills- Highly effective written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of utilizing data at all stages, from acquisition to delivery.
- Excellent business and system analysis skills. Ability to translate user requirements into a logical process to deliver an appropriate data-driven solution.
- Proficient in learning new technologies with no prior experience.
- Proficiency in design and documentation of tools and solutions.
- Ability to handle stressful situations, particularly caused by high-priority and/or significantly time-constrained requests.
- Ability to establish requirements for data-driven solutions with people from varying disciplines and degrees of technical expertise.
- Must be self-motivated, analytical, a good troubleshooter and goal-oriented.
- Prefer experience in as many of the following programming languages as possible:
Microsoft T‑SQL, VBScript, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), CCL, Oracle SQL. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft T‑SQL preferred.
- Appropriately manages priorities in terms of time and scheduling to effectively respond to primary assigned areas of support prioritized by the direct supervisor.
