Responsible for managing computer applications in relation to information technology operations, systems analysis, programming, development, and maintenance of automation and electronic data interchange (EDI) technical functions. Daily responsibilities include providing leadership during the evaluation and implementation of IT technical solutions. Manages projects of various complexities and is responsible for scope, costs, resources, and project schedules. Ensures scheduled activities are performed in a timely basis and that policies and procedures support the ability to comply with all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) contractual obligations including, but not limited to requirements defined in the Texas Uniform Managed Care Guidelines, Enrollment Broker Joint Interface Plan, encounter data submission, and Medicare Advantage plan communication interfaces.

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and activities of Programmers and EDI Analysts.

Three years of supervisory/management experience is required. Six years of experience in information systems, programming and Managed Care EDI operations. Must have a broad understanding of information technologies as they relate to healthcare computing and operational processes. Experience with implementation and support of large-scale healthcare/managed care information systems is preferred.

Bachelor degree in a Computer Science or related field is required. Master degree is preferred.
