Job Purpose

Responsible for all aspects of IT, including, but not limited to, daily maintenance, IT support, and troubleshooting of issues related to IT.

Communicates regularly with the supervisor about departmental issues. Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize workload. Consistently reports to work on time, prepared to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for network/security maintenance in the warehouse
  • Responsible for warehouse IT technical support for daily operations
  • Responsible for all PC, laptops, PDA’s, Scanners, and hardware maintenance, including upgrades
  • Responsible for reporting and installing all user software, including Email clients, on laptops and phones
  • Perform daily backup operations
  • Perform as PLEX level-1 support and escalate to level-2 promptly.
  • Ability to document and develop IT configuration and installation procedures
  • Perform ongoing hardware and software upgrades as required.
  • Perform daily maintenance and monitoring of the server and network infrastructure/File shares
  • Support, monitor, test, and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and software problems.
Qualifications
  • Familiar with Unix and Windows operating systems
  • Proficient with Active Directory and network printing
  • Able to diagnose Symbol warehouse scanners, upgrade, test, and certify results
  • Perform weekly maintenance on Access Points to identify blackout signals and fix
  • Ability to perform integration testing between mobile/scanner devices and the ERP system
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL queries and data mining
  • Detail-oriented
  • Responsible for IT inventory, allocations, and asset management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • 2-4 years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT required
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux OS, and Windows XP/7.
  • Skilled in VB/VBA and form processing.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Willing to learn new methodologies and programming languages to achieve certain tasks
  • Ability to travel to our plants in Juarez, MX, for support.
Required Skills
  • Spanish-speaking is strongly preferred.

  • Additional tasks established by the Senior Purchasing/ Materials Management Manager
  • Project Management
