To be eligible at the GS‑13 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS‑12 level.
Specialized experience is defined as experience performing the following types of duties:
- Evaluating and resolving hardware and software problems
- Providing user training and assistance on a variety of routine applications
- Planning and improving information systems to meet the needs of customer requirements
- Troubleshooting end‑user computer hardware and software issues
- Configuring, installing, and maintaining networked systems including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, workstation and mobile‑device troubleshooting and support, and related hardware
- Maintaining systems accounts with various enterprise software programs
- Maintenance of server and LAN/WAN activities
- Network monitoring and management
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining litigation support equipment
The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
