SharePoint Developer (DoD Contractor – Ad-hoc Research)

Position Summary
The SharePoint Developer supports our client's mission environment as part of the client's G6 team, providing technical expertise, development, administration, and sustainment of the Ad hoc Research client's SharePoint portals across both NIPR and SIPR networks. The Developer ensures the SharePoint environment effectively supports operational, training, and strategic objectives in accordance with DoD standards, cybersecurity requirements, and established governance policies.
This position requires working closely with government stakeholders, end users, and cross functional technical teams to design, implement, secure, and maintain SharePoint solutions that enhance collaboration, data accessibility, and mission readiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mission Support & Stakeholder Engagement- Serve as an integrated member of the client's G6 team, providing SharePoint expertise to support Ad hoc Research operational and training requirements.
- Engage directly with government stakeholders to gather requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
- Provide Level of Effort (LOE) estimates, development plans, and prioritization recommendations to support government decision making.
- Deliver user training, technical guidance, and documentation to ensure effective adoption and sustainment of SharePoint capabilities.
- Design, develop, and implement SharePoint solutions, including custom lists, libraries, workflows, forms, dashboards, and site templates.
- Customize SharePoint frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSLT, and Master Pages to deliver userfriendly, mission aligned interfaces.
- Build reusable code libraries and reference models to support longterm maintainability and standardization.
- Utilize SharePoint Designer, Info Path, and client side technologies (JavaScript, jQuery, CAML, REST API, CSOM) to develop custom solutions and automate processes.
- Integrate HSE Lighthouse visualization and analytics modules with our client's existing platforms to enhance data presentation and operational awareness.
- Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SharePoint technologies in accordance with DoD change control procedures.
- Deploy custom SharePoint solution packages and configure SharePoint services and settings.
- Administer and maintain sites, subsites, content databases, quotas, and file size limits.
- Manage site security, permissions, and access controls in compliance with DoD cybersecurity and information assurance requirements.
- Monitor portal usage, performance, and capacity; recommend improvements to ensure reliability and mission readiness.
- Document portal architecture, configuration, workflows, and customizations to support continuity of operations.
- Conduct requirements analysis, systems flow review, and data usage assessments to design effective SharePointbased solutions.
- Maintain and modify key software components using classic ASP, .NET, SharePoint Online, and current SharePoint Server versions.
- Implement SharePointbased workflows and interactive dashboards to support operational reporting and decision making.
- Develop technical documentation, diagrams, flowcharts, and training materials to support sustainment and knowledge transfer.
- Build proofofconcept solutions and simulations to support training exercises and capability demonstrations.
- Ensure continued accessibility, functionality, and performance of SharePoint components through proactive maintenance and updates.
- Implement rolebased automated notifications across integrated information systems.
- Enforce SharePoint governance, security policies, and best practices across the Ad hoc Research environment.
