Job PurposeThe Director, Information Technology is responsible for leading and continuously improving GCX's technology environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient solutions that support business operations, growth, and digital transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President Integration, this role serves as the senior leader for Information Technology, translating business priorities into scalable IT solutions and effective execution across the organization.
The Director leads a department of eight IT professionals, including four direct reports, and works closely with strategic managed service providers to deliver enterprise applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and end-user support services. A key focus of the role is maximizing the value of GCX's business systems, including IFS ERP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and related applications, by partnering with business leaders to improve processes, enhance operational performance, and support data‑driven decision making.
This position oversees enterprise business applications, IT operations, service delivery, cybersecurity governance, vendor relationships, and technology projects. The successful candidate will bring a strong business applications and ERP mindset, coupled with a practical understanding of infrastructure and cybersecurity, to ensure technology investments align with business objectives while maintaining a secure and stable operating environment.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Enterprise Applications, Business Process & Digital Transformation
- Serve as the executive owner for GCX's enterprise application portfolio including IFS ERP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, integrations, workflow automation, and related business systems
- Drive application roadmap planning, process optimization, user adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Data Analytics leaders to maximize business value from enterprise applications including identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing technology solutions that increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide leadership to the Business Applications Manager who, along with the Business Systems Analyst, administers, supports, and enhances enterprise business applications, including ERP and related systems, and ensures application changes, upgrades, and integrations are properly managed and documented
- Support acquisitions, integration activities, and business process changes as required
- Lead the daily operation and support of GCX's technology environment, including infrastructure, networks, cloud services, business applications, and end‑user computing
- Ensure the availability, performance, reliability, and security of business‑critical systems and services
- Provide leadership to the IT Support Manager, who oversees the Helpdesk and operations team and establishes service levels that provide high‑quality user experience
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve stability, efficiency, and support processes
