Summary

Job Description:

The Information Systems Coordinator actively participates in the design and evolution of Electronic Health Record (EHR). Provide oversight of all electronic processes/systems related to EHR systems in HIM and record processing functions. Provides technical and administrative resource support. Creates reports, review and correct data integrity issues. Creates and update policies / procedures related to EHR design, management and maintenance. Creates material and provide ongoing training for Physicians, HIM, and other Users.

Required Skills:

1. Excellent overall knowledge of Health Information Systems, practices, procedures and guidelines.
2. Computer system skills
3. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
4. Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve services
5. Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
6. Knowledgeable of medical terminology
7. Strong Customer Service Orientation
8. Bilingual English/Spanish

Work Experience:

Three years experience in information systems in a health information management environment.

B. License/Registration/Certification:
None

C. Education and Training:
Associates degree required, preferably in Information Systems or related field. Two years of additional education may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.
