Position OverviewThe DC Operator Level II is an experienced Distribution Center team member responsible for receiving, handling, processing, and shipping customer materials while supporting IEWC’s standards for safety, quality, operational excellence, and premier customer service.
This role requires a well-rounded team member who has experience across multiple Distribution Center functions, can work effectively with limited direction, and helps support new employees through knowledge sharing and on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate proficiency in multiple core Distribution Center roles, including at least five basic DC job functions.
- Receive, handle, process, assemble, and ship customer materials accurately and efficiently.
- Follow IEWC’s ISO procedures, work instructions, safety standards, and operational processes.
- Make decisions within established guidelines, work instructions, and direction provided by leadership.
- Maintain assigned work areas according to IEWC’s 5S standards.
- Follow and comply with all safety rules, work rules, policies, and regulations.
- Support Trainers as a subject matter expert by helping train and guide new employees.
- Assemble spools and complete other material preparation tasks as requested.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment and machinery, as needed and within the scope of the role.
- Perform Distribution Center job functions as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with company expectations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, team members, and internal partners.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and contribute to strong teamwork, collaboration, and working relationships.
- Support IEWC’s Vision, Values, and Purpose through daily actions and behaviors.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or related experience required.
- Ability to perform multiple Distribution Center functions at a consistent and reliable level.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to complete assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Ability to work with standard computer applications in a Windows-based environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively in a team environment.
- At least 1 year of full-time experience in a Distribution Center, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar operational environment.
- Prior experience working in a cross-trained warehouse or distribution role.
- Experience supporting training, onboarding, or peer coaching.
- Experience with ISO procedures, 5S standards, or other structured quality/continuous improvement practices.

- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, touch, or operate objects, tools, equipment, or controls.
- Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Frequently use feet to operate equipment.
- Occasionally sit, reach above shoulders, climb, or balance.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in elevated or high areas.
- Frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to high noise levels.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, and vibration.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, eye protection, and fall protection where required.
Occasional travel may be required to support vacation coverage, inventory loads, facility moves, or other Distribution Center-related business needs.
