Customs Entry Writer Clerk
Our client, a leading logistics and customs brokerage organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer Clerk to join their team. As a Customs Entry Writer Clerk, you will be an essential part of the Customs Department supporting seamless import operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will enable you to thrive within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Location:
El Paso, TX
Pay: $15/hr
Shift: 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday
What's the Job?
- Prepare, review, and submit import entry documentation—including commercial invoices, packing lists, in-bonds, and FTZ records—to ensure accuracy and CBP compliance.
- Classify products and support HTS determination by verifying shipment details and applying proper regulatory requirements.
- Enter and audit shipment data within customs brokerage and logistics systems with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve documentation discrepancies and ensure timely customs clearance.
- Process in bond transactions, FTZ activity reports, and weekly entry summaries in accordance with U.S. Customs regulations.
