Ocean Export Job-Specific Tasks and Duties:
- Respond to emails timely
- Gather all required shipment elements and documents for Export
- Log & Prepare File for Export
- Review of Customer Shipment Documents for Compliance both for U.S Customs and Destination Customs
- Request Inbonds if required
- Review and confirm customer rates and ensure TLI's are updated prior to shipment pick up
- Request bookings
- Coordinate pickup with approved service providers
- Coordination with team members in our warehouse
- Process shipments timely within booking port and document cut offs
- Create delivery orders
- Monitor and update shipments with core events as per OPS
- Invoicing timely and accurately
- Settle files timely and accurately
Physical Demands:
- Use of standard office equipment - computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, fax/copy/scan machine, etc.
- Write with pencil/pen/marker
- Functions performed primarily while seated at desk
- Global logistics industry knowledge
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
- Fluent in English
