AboutThe Role
Seeking an experienced Vice President of Procurement (North America) to lead procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives across North American operations. This executive leadership role will drive supply chain resilience, procurement transformation, supplier innovation, and operational excellence while supporting business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Executive Procurement Leadership- Develop and execute long-term procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with regional and global business objectives.
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives.
- Lead procurement transformation programs including digital procurement, automation, and spend analytics.
- Align regional sourcing activities with global commodity strategies.
- Lead sourcing strategies for commodities such as copper, connectors, plastics, electronic components, logistics, and capital equipment.
- Deliver annual cost savings through supplier negotiations, value engineering and total cost ownership (TCO) methodologies.
- Manage executive-level supplier negotiations and strategic partnerships.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies related to commodities, tariffs, foreign exchange, and geopolitical factors.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with global suppliers.
- Establish best-in-class Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs.
- Ensure supply continuity through proactive risk management and dual-sourcing strategies.
- Drive supplier innovation supporting new product development and customer requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing procurement teams across North America.
- Establish procurement KPIs focused on savings, supplier performance, inventory management, and risk mitigation.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Sales teams.
- Oversee sourcing for MRO, logistics, facilities, IT, professional services, and capital expenditures.
- Improve procurement governance, compliance, spend visibility, and standardization.
- Support plant expansions, automation investments, and facility projects.
- Manage procurement budgets and annual savings targets.
- Partner with Finance to drive EBITDA improvement, cash flow optimization and inventory reduction.
- Develop executive procurement performance dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, trade regulations, and procurement standards.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive Procurement and Supply Chain leadership experience.
- 8+ years in senior leadership or executive procurement roles.
- Proven success delivering significant cost savings and procurement transformation initiatives.
- Extensive experience within the Automotive Tier 1 supplier environment.
- Strong understanding of OEM requirements and automotive manufacturing operations.
- Experience with wiring harnesses, electrical systems, connectors, plastics, electronics, or related commodities preferred.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive supply chain standards.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, category management, and TCO analysis.
- Strong executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of global supply chain management and procurement analytics.
- Experience leading organizational change and procurement transformation initiatives.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications such as CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or ISM preferred.
- Experience managing global supplier networks across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Background supporting acquisitions, integrations, and business transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to ESG, sustainability, and responsible sourcing programs.

- Supplier quality, delivery, and performance metrics.
