Overview
District Manager to join our Team. Salary: $13.00 to $22.40 per hour
. We are looking for an experienced/professional multi-unit (retail) District Manager within El Paso area.
First Cash (also known as First Cash Pawn, Cash America Pawn, Cashland, Super Pawn and other pawn brands) operates corporate owned pawn and retail locations across the US and six countries. Our District Manager Training program is designed to walk you, step-by-step, through every role within the field operations job evolution (i.e. Pawnbroker, Assistant Manager, Store Manager and District Manager).

Our District Managers are responsible for developing, coaching and leading a team of Store Managers who can successfully execute all company initiatives while ensuring that all financial results meet or exceed plan. It is the responsibility of the District Manager to facilitate communication between the Regional Manager and the Store Managers and vice versa. The District Manager will ensure messages across the district remain consistent and will champion the execution of all new company initiatives.
This position is non-exempt;
District Managers can earn a bonus based on district performance. Actual pay will be based on location, qualifications and experience.

- Directly supervises six to eight Store Managers and coaches them to motivate and support their teams.
- Develops business partner relationships with the Regional Manager, HR Business Partner and Corporate personnel.
- Develops and Builds Leadership Talent through partnering with HR and Learning & Development.
- Recruits proactively to improve district talent level.
- Ensures proper execution of new company initiatives and policies.
- Reviews district and store performance reports and coaches Stores to correct issues or capitalize on opportunities.
- Ensures good financial results and profitability through fundamentals of customer service and operations.
- Balances monitoring store performance with coaching; travel to stores and between locations as needed.
- Focuses on competitors and growth opportunities; communicates findings to the Regional Manager, including potential store start-ups or acquisitions.
- Collects and shares feedback on programs; communicates best practices within the district.
- Responds to distinctive features of local districts to achieve best results.
- Empowers Store Managers to be decision-makers while staying aligned with company/district strategies and policies.
- Manages district staffing and reallocates personnel to improve performance.
- Builds goodwill and relationships within communities of operation.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must have a valid driver's license and transportation to drive frequently to stores.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified, including being the "Responsible Party" (FFL locations).
- Able to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in a multiunit environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize; detail oriented.
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports; quantitative aptitude and experience managing budgets.
- Desire and ability to coach and develop others; excellent interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Minimum 18 years of age;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
