Role Description

This is a parttime, on-site role for a Chaplain with the Texas Army National Guard, based in the El-Paso, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Chaplain will provide spiritual guidance and religious support to service members and their families, conduct worship services, lead counseling sessions, and facilitate religious education programs. Responsibilities also include offering moral support, crisis intervention, and ethical guidance to Soldiers and helping maintain their overall well-being during training, deployment, and daily duties.

The Chaplain will work collaboratively with commanders to ensure the emotional and spiritual resilience of Soldiers and their families.

Qualifications
  • Flexibility to provide spiritual care and guidance tailored to diverse faith groups.
  • Leadership, crisis management, and conflict resolution skills to navigate and support Soldiers in challenging circumstances.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and active listening skills to deliver meaningful messages and build trust.
  • Experience in counseling, mentoring, and providing moral and ethical guidance to individuals and groups.
  • Dedication to working in a team-oriented and mission-focused environment.
  • Undergraduate degree; graduate-level theological education and ordination from a recognized denomination
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to meet the Texas Army National Guard’s eligibility requirements.
  • Commitment to uphold the values of the Texas Army National Guard, including service, integrity, and excellence.
