Mgr. Payroll

Manages the daily operations and personnel of the Payroll function for the Hospital. Monitors Associates performance against payroll standards and assures that Hospital and departmental policies are observed. Selects, trains, evaluates, and counsels Payroll Representatives and may from time to time resolve difficult or complex issues and inquiries of regulatory agencies. Manages the systems associated with the Payroll function, recommending and supporting changes and upgrades in these systems.

• Working knowledge of computer and accounting systems. Participation in systems implementation preferred.
• Well-developed financial analytical skills.

• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

• Specific knowledge of healthcare and financial reporting
• Demonstrates independent decision-making and strong communication skills

Five years of Payroll experience required, preferably in a hospital setting. Three years of management experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field required. Master’s degree preferred.
