Summary

This is a leadership role for someone who's passionate about refining systems for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness through the administration of local, state, and federal funding streams. This position will also be responsible for the supervision of staff and overseeing all compliance-related tasks, such as contracting, monitoring, invoicing, and reimbursements, and compliance expectations for both recipients and funders of local, state, and federal grants.

Your work will play a critical role in guiding Pierce County's efforts to end homelessness.

Your day-to-day is providing support and guidance for your team, as well as overall project management. You will supervise program staff through complex situations, verify funded providers in the community are receiving technical support, lead through innovation, engage in continuous quality improvement, and ensure deadlines are met. This position will also collaborate with community partners and other agencies to break down barriers and open more doors for those we serve.

How to be Successful in the Role:

In this role, the successful candidate must be detail-oriented and able to communicate complex processes. In this role, you will work closely with key partners in our efforts to end homelessness in Pierce County. You must have a passion for this issue and be willing to work hard to help us tackle it. You will need strong analytical and leadership skills as you lead your internal staff through data collection, data analysis, and CQI efforts.

You'll bring budget development and monitoring experience as you assist with contract monitoring and making budget recommendations related to programs. The successful candidate will have the ability to work within a team, have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be a problem solver as you work through issues related to this program.

Core Daily Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate activities of a designated unit; determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and determine methods for expediting workflow; assign, review and approve the work of subordinate staff.

* Estimate service targets and continuously monitor quantifiable performance measurements for service delivery.

* Recommend budget requirements regarding existing and new services.

* Use and recommend appropriate data systems.

* Interpret detailed federal, state or local regulations to ensure compliance, which includes developing reporting systems to monitor programs, contracts, and budgets. Compile and analyze data to determine needs, make recommendations and evaluate programs.
