Provide technical support to the Pourline Department by troubleshooting pourline processes, driving continuous improvement, and supporting cost reduction initiatives. Develop and implement improved formulations, operating methods, equipment, and process technologies specific to pourline operations. Support pourline new product introductions, plant startups, and sampling activities, and prepare and analyze technical reports.
Job Responsibilities- Manage daily process operations, including equipment selection, setup, and optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve process, equipment, and production issues.
- Analyze production data to drive continuous improvement and improve OEE.
- Plan, execute, and validate process improvement trials and production enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine, facility, software, and robotics-related process issues.
- Analyze customer requirements, production results, and industry standards to implement process changes.
- Develop, document, and standardize process methods, controls, and best practices.
- Support design, installation, and start-up of new pour line systems.
- Maintain QS documentation for foam manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with IATF / ISO requirements, Quality Policy, work instructions, and safety regulations.
- Support employee cross-training using TWI methodology and provide technical training.
- Participate in Lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, audits, safety programs, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university (Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Chemical Engineering preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing with industrial controls and automated equipment/control systems.
- Experience in polyurethane manufacturing preferred, including chemical processing, mixing, curing, and related production equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, including Continuous Improvement, 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, schematics, and safety instructions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and leadership.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
- Requires speaking, reading and writing skills in English (Spanish Language a plus).
