Company Information Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesAssembly Specialist positions will be responsible for production at Kenworth Chillicothe. Employees perform manufacturing duties that may include but are not limited to:
- Assemble truck components and systems according to detailed work instructions and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assembly tasks.
- Inspect parts and assemblies for quality, fit, and finish, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Document work completed and maintain accurate records as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance assembly processes.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and currently have a high school diploma (from national accreditation agency or US Department of Education) or equivalent to be considered for employment.
- Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to work evening shift.
