WSP is currently initiating a search for an On Call Drawings Helper in El Paso, TX. The selected candidate will be on-site at our client's facility performing hard copy drawing digitization and cataloging services. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Mechanical and Piping Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
This position is subject to and contingent upon WSP award of work.
Your Impact
* Under general supervision, performs project work that assists the Engineering Drawing Vault Digitization project.
* Provide on-site assembly assistance for the assembly of the photo-copying table.
* Provide photo-copying services for the Refinery division drawings.
* Title Block data entry services for the Refinery division drawings.
* Rolodex card data entry services for the complete Rolodex card set.
* Complete training on assigned tasks.
* Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
* Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma.
* 0-2 years' experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft SharePoint.
* The ability to perform repetitive tasks independently for extended periods.
* A mobile device capable of communication via phone calls or text messages.
* The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* The ability to commute to work daily.
* Highly accurate and detail oriented.
* Demonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure.
* Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment.
* Must be able to demonstrate our core values of honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and integrity.
* Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
* Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, or climb stairs.
* Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, and comply with company policies.
* Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
* Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
* Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Current college/university enrollment, working towards BS in Mechanical Engineering, Junior or above.
